2023 Rafael Palacios 'Louro' Godello
Biodynamically-farmed Godello from the town of 'O Bolo', in the upper reaches of the Valdeorras zone of Galicia (Ribeira Sacra). This area blends Atlantic influences, with moderate Continental climate. Soils are raw granite, which always bring a beautifully textural style to the indigenous Godello grape.
'Luoro' is raised in seasoned 3,500L oak foudre, to not distract from the fruit. This recalls the racier styles of old-world Chardonnay, with just-ripe orchard fruit and serious minerality. Lovely tension and texture.
