2023 Jermann Pinot Grigio

$74.00

Jermann, based in Friuli Venezia Giulia since the 19th century, are seen as making one of the benchmark styles of Pinot Grigio in the world.

The fruit comes from the renowned hillsides of te Isonzo and Collio zones, which sport gravelly and mineral-laced soils. The cool winds off the Adriatic also sweep up the alpine valleys, adding a freshness and vitality to the wines from this area.

Winemaking is simple, and fully aimed at capturing purity of fruit and freshness. Hand-picking, with fermentation and aging in stainless steel.

Aromas of pear, golden apple, citrus blossom and chamomile unfold alongside subtle notes of almond and wet stone. The palate is vibrant and silky, offering ripe orchard fruit balanced by lemon zest, mineral tension and a long, clean finish. It’s more textural and layered than many Pinot Grigios, reflecting Jermann’s meticulous approach and Friuli’s exceptional terroir
