2024 Ciro Picariello 'Bru Emm' Falanghina
Ciro Picariello’s tiny 7 hectare estate lies at the heart of Campania’s white grape region of Avellino among the Irpinian hills. He has become a standard-bearer for high quality Campanian wine, producing with a minimal-interventionist, yet clean and precise approach.
This Falanghina is sourced from south-facing vineyards around the town of Guardia Sanframondi in the province of Benevento at 380m elevation. This is a delicious Falanghina with Ciro's signature of taut zesty fruit, bright Granny Smith apple crunch and a lovely wash of green herb freshness throughout. For all the crispness and zest there's a little more weight here than with the Fiano, with a mellow juiciness giving a breadth and length on the finish
